Get to know from an expert guide two of the greatest achievements in the history of The Netherlands: the Zaanse Schans mills and the Grand Dam Afsluitdijk.
We will start by going to the Zaanse Schans windmill park, the country's economic engine between the 16th and 18th centuries, since the Dutch used the force of the wind to grind the spices they brought from the colonies, to make oils, mustards, etc. We will enter a mill dedicated to spices and a clog workshop, where they will demonstrate the production of traditional Dutch footwear.
Next, we will head to the Grand Dike, which connects the provinces of North Holland and Friesland and which closed the South Sea forever, making it one of the largest lakes in Europe. This is the most important dam in the country, more than 30 kilometers long, which slows the tides of the North Sea to prevent flooding
