Segway tour Bonn

The former federal capital and current federal city of Bonn shows off its most beautiful side on our two-hour Segway tour. Together we explore the Rheinaue — a 160-hectare local recreation area with numerous attractions and sights —, drive past the Old Waterworks, in whose pump house the Bundestag once held its meetings, pass the United Nations Campus, Villa Hammerschmidt and the Chancellor's Bungalow. On our tour, we also cross the Rhine twice — great views of Bonn are guaranteed.

Bonn has a lot to offer! Discover with us the places where state guests from all over the world were received, where the United Nations (UN) works today, see buildings that you may only know from television so far, such as the Lange Eugen or the Posttower. Regardless of whether it's your first visit to Bonn or you're a Bonn lover: A Segway tour is perhaps the best way to explore the city or see it from a completely different

perspective.

The

start of our approximately 120-minute Segway tour through Bonn is in Bonn-Oberkassel on Karl-Duwe-Straße. There are parking spaces and space for our Segway briefing near the “Strandliebe” beach club. We only start when everyone is familiar with the technology and has mastered the Segway safely

.

Passing Hotel Kameha Grand, we reach the Beueler Rheinaue and relax on a well-developed cycle path along the Rhine, so that we can enjoy the Bonn skyline with its distinctive buildings car-free. Of course, the guide is also happy to take pictures of you on the Segway so that you have a nice memory of this tour

.

On the Kennedy Bridge — the middle of Bonn's three Rhine bridges — we then cross the Rhine and have another great view from the bridge.

Bonn is still the official seat of various offices, authorities and government institutions. During the tour, for example, we see the Federal Court of Auditors, the Federal Office of Justice and the Federal Cartel Office

.

Villa Hammerschmidt, which is still the second official residence of the Federal President, and the Chancellor's Bungalow, in which, among others, Federal Chancellor Ludwig Erhard, Kurt Georg Kiesinger and Helmut Schmidt lived, are located in a large park. The personal taste of the last resident is still particularly visible inside: Helmut Kohl.

We then reach the UN Campus, where more than 1000 United Nations employees work, particularly in the environmental and climate sectors. Until the move to Berlin in the 1990s, the Bundestag and Federal Council met here; the members of parliament had their offices in the “Langen Eugen” — a 30-story high-rise building, among other places

.

We leave the former government district — and are suddenly surrounded by greenery. The 160-hectare Rheinaue is probably the most popular local recreation area in Bonn. The entire area was developed for the Federal Garden Show in 1979, and today there are many leisure facilities and sights there. Among other things, we pass the idyllic Rheinauensee and the Bismarck Tower - and then reach the Konrad Adenauer Bridge, which is named after the first Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany and spans the Rhine and its floodplains over a total length of

770 meters.

We cross the bridge back to Bonn on the right bank of the Rhine and our approximately two-hour tour is slowly coming to an end. We glide almost silently for the last few meters to our starting point on

Karl-Duwe-Straße.

Then, with lots of impressions and (driving) experiences, it's time to get off the Segway. But it doesn't have to be long until the next Segway tour. For example, we also offer exciting tours in Cologne.
