Stockholm’s Old Town & Royal Palace Private Walking Tour

Are you a fan of European royalty? Do you want to know more about the Swedish Royal Family and see where they have lived through the ages? Great, we want to help! Our Stockholm's Old Town & Royal Palace Private Walking Tour takes you through the highlights of the regal history of Sweden, from the past to the present. Not only that, it includes a walk of its backyard, the medieval Old Town.

Not having been affected by wars, much of the Old Town is still intact, and the area is packed with historical gems, some easy to find, others more difficult. Lucky you're with us! From Birger Jarl, the founder of Stockholm, to Jean Baptist Bernadotte, an imported French marshal, we'll cover well-known Swedish figures and sites, including the smallest statue in Stockholm, the statue of St. George & Dragon, the Riddarholmen Church and Stockholm Cathedral.

The next-door neighbour of the Stockholm Cathedral is the Royal Palace. Said to be one of the most living palaces in Europe, we'll enter the elaborately decorated Royal Apartments to have a closer look at what is now the office of the King and Queen of Sweden. Where do they live, you ask? The answer is Drottningholm Palace, but that is another tour in itself. Gustav III's Bedchamber, Karl X's Gallery and the White Sea, we'll make our way through centuries of royal living, including banquets, functions and responsibilities.

Our majestic venture ends in Stockholm's Old Town, with the possibility to catch the beginning of the changing of the guards (if you scheduled a morning tour time, that is). Or to continue exploring the Old Town of Stockholm on your own.
