GLORIOUS ROCK

Hometown of Toto, Prince of Laughter. Legend or reality?

A small village in Cilento, it is located on a watershed in the valleys of the Mingardo and Busmento rivers, north of Mount Bulgheria and is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The town exudes natural beauty and history, in fact, along the Capitenali-La Scala path, you find yourself admiring a breathtaking landscape, namely the majesty of Mount Bulgheria that overlooks the sea of the Gulf of Policastro. This path framed by Mediterranean scrub, is ideal for anyone who wants to relax and walk with extreme serenity among the colors that mother nature offers. The path also leads to the necropolis of Fistelia, a thriving Lucan city in the past. In addition to the stately palaces, the village houses several noteworthy ancient churches. Also worth visiting is the antiquarium, a museum that houses numerous Lucan archaeological finds dating back to the 4th

and 3rd centuries BC.

TRUTH OR POPULAR LEGEND?

It is said that The Great Totò was the fruit of the union, which has always remained secret, between the marquis and Maria Marotta, a waitress at Palazzo De Curtis in Roccagloriosa. Maria was then taken to Naples by the Marquis and given a different name: Anna Clemente to hide her humble origins
