The Tivoli Gardens Tour will guide you through an ancient town rich with masterpieces from the Roman and Renaissance time like the two Villas which you could visit. Tivoli is located on an ancient road built by the Romans, called Tiburtina, which still today connects the town to Rome.
The area was rich in water and famous for its Travertine marble quarries. After visiting the Hadrian’s Villa you will have free time to visit the narrow streets of Tivoli or go for a lunch break, right in Tivoli there is one of the most famous and old restaurants of the area located right by a waterfall and next to a II sec. B.C. Roman Temple. Villa D’Este was built by the rich and powerful Cardinal from the renaissance time called Ippolito D’Este. One of the best expressions of Renaissance Architecture with all the frescoes used to decorate the private rooms, the outdoor gardens with the famous fountains.
The tour starts at 7:30AM. Your driver will meet you right under the ship, holding a sign with your last name on it. Our vehicles and our drivers are fully authorized by the Port Authority to drive you or pick-you up right under the ship. You will not have to take a shuttle bus. Your driver will constantly monitor time in order to have you back to the ship by 5:30PM at the latest.

The private licensed tour guide will hop-off the vehicle with you at each stop and walk you throught the attractions to provide the most complete insights of Villa d’Este & Hadrian’s Villa. The price for the guided tour is Eur 250,00 cash for the whole group (per van). You will pay the guide cash directly at the end of the two private walking tours of the two villas.
For all bookings of day tours, a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, no refund is given.
For all bookings of multi-day and custom private tours, a minimum of 72 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 72 hours' notice, no refund is given*
