Every Friday, from April to October the Pope’s Museums open their doors after dusk too, from 8PM to 11PM, to allow visitors to enjoy an evocative and unusual nocturnal atmosphere. The tour is only possible on Friday night and includes the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica.
The most amazing collections of statues, paintings, vases, sarcophagi, bas-reliefs like a real concert of beauty and richest artworks. Reach the top with the famous frescoes of the “Genesis Stories” and the “Universal Judgment” of the Sistine Chapel, a masterwork of the most creative multi-talented artist of renaissance like Michelangelo. You won’t miss the biggest church in the world: St. Peter’s Basilica.
You’ll finish your private tour with Michelangelo’s “Pietà” before leaving the church on St. Peter’s Square.
The night tour starts at 8PM. Your Guide will meet you right outside the entrance of the Museums (Caffe Vaticano, Viale Vaticano 100) holding a sign with your last name.
You will end the tour in St. Peter’s Square. Your tour guide will show you where to take a taxi to return to your hotel.
We purchase the skip-the-line tickets for the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica.
Vatican Museums tickets to be paid (only cash) at the end of the tour directly to your guide.
The final voucher/price will NOT include the cost for the tickets of the Vatican Museums.
Vatican Museums are closed on Sunday, Easter, 19Mar, 01May, 29Jun, 14Aug, 15Aug, 01Nov, 8Dec, 25Dec, 26Dec.
A dress code is required to enter the Vatican Museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.
For all bookings of day tours, a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, no refund is given.
For all bookings of multi-day and custom private tours, a minimum of 72 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 72 hours' notice, no refund is given*
