About

Lublin is the most important cultural and academic center of Eastern Poland. The city is also known for its Jewish heritage. Narrow streets and buildings from different time periods create a unique atmosphere of the city. Majdanek Nazi Camp is a rare example of Concentration and Extermination Camp located near population centre.

During the tour you will see Lublin top sights: the Old Town, Lublin Castle with the Chapel of Holy Trinity, Krakow Gate, Trinity Tower (the highest viewing point in Lublin) and more.

On the outskirts of Lublin there is a historical place of nazi concentration and extermination camp – Majdanek. It is a unique example of camp located near population center. The camp was going to be the source of a free workforce for the realization of the plans to build a German empire in the east. Prisoners came from nearly 30 countries, mainly Poles and Jews, but also Russians, Belorusians, Ukrainians and others. The tragic history of the Lublin concentration camp came to an end on 23rd July 1944 after the Red Army entered the city. Now you can visit Majdanek National Museum, Monument of Struggle and Martyrdom at Majdanek, Mausoleum containing ashes from the victims of Nazi hate and some remains of the camp.
