MORIGERATI OASIS
The Morigerati Naturalistic Oasis was founded in 1985 at the behest of WWF Italia based on a long-term conservation project designed to defend the natural territory as well as biodiversity. The Busmento Oasis covers about 607 hectares and protects the local fauna, the landscape and the hydrogeological structure of the territory. It is managed directly by WWF Italia in collaboration with the Municipality of Morigerati.
A canyon covered with lush vegetation to visit along a path that winds from the historic center along a stream with springs, waterfalls, an ancient mill to the cave where you can witness the resurgence of the Busmento karst river.
The Oasis is located within a Site of Community Importance (SIC IT8050016) in the Municipality of Morigerati (Sa).
The area covers about 607 hectares within the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park and is also on the world list of Geoparks. The Morigerati Oasis is a “main” geosite due to
the significant karst phenomenon.For all bookings of day tours, a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, no refund is given.
