The most famous archaeological site in the world is not hard to name. If there has ever been a site as well preserved, as evocative, as memorable as that of Pompeii, the luxurious resort for the Roman Empire, buried under the ash and lava erupted by Mount Vesuvius on August 24, 79 AD.
First stop will be Pompei. You will meet your local tour guide who will go off with you on a 2hrs private walking tour inside the archeological area. At the end of the walking tour you will continue the drive south on the beautiful cliff road called Amalfi Coast and reach in about 1hr the town of Positano, a real vertical town located between the blue waters of the Mediterranean and the beautiful green slopes of the Monti Lattari, where you can go around this charming summer village and have lunch in a local restaurant.
The day trip usually starts at 9AM. A private driver will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the entrance of the Pompeii ruins where you will meet your private guide. You will be back to Neaples by 6PM at the latest.
For all bookings of day tours, a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, no refund is given.
