Our combo tours let you experience the best of both worlds – a fascinating lava tube cave exploration followed by an adrenaline-filled ATV adventure in the mountains near Reykjavik.

Part 1: Raufarhólshellir Lava Tube Cave Step back in time over 5,200 years as you explore the stunning Raufarhólshellir Lava Tube Cave. Formed during the Leitahraun eruption, this is the fourth-largest lava tunnel in Iceland, stretching 1,360 meters in length and varying from 10 to 30 meters in width. Marvel at the natural colors and formations created by volcanic activity.

Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your Reykjavik accommodation starting at 8:15 AM. After a short 45-minute drive, you’ll arrive at the lava tube cave. Our experienced guides will equip you with helmets and torchlight, ready to delve into the underworld. The caving tour lasts approximately 3 hours, offering an incredible subterranean experience.

After the caving tour, you’ll return to your original pick-up location. Take a short lunch break – we recommend grabbing lunch or enjoying a city walk.

Part 2: 1-Hour Reykjavik Peak ATV Adventure The excitement continues with an adrenaline-pumping ATV adventure! At 1:00 PM, our Safari Quads guides will pick you up from your accommodation and bring you to our base camp. You’ll be suited up with warm gear and prepped for the thrilling ride ahead.

Your 1-hour Reykjavik Peak ATV adventure will take you past the serene Hafravatn lake and up Reykjavik Peak.
Enjoy breathtaking views over Reykjavik and the surrounding peninsula. On clear days, you might even spot the Snæfellsnes Glacier across the ocean.
