Come with us to the other side of Melaten, away from the usual routes, there is so much special to discover. Most guided tours about Melaten start at the Old Main Entrance and go through the western part of the cemetery, where there are also many celebrity graves. But there is also another part of Melaten, which has only been covered by a few guided tours so far. We want to show you this area.
We will introduce you to the picturesque funeral gardens, take you to the graves of famous and unknown people from Cologne, carnivalists and musicians, brewers and soldiers, and tell you the stories about the people in Old and New Cologne.
The tour starts at the funeral hall on Piusstraße and is completely independent of the previous tour, which we will continue to offer.
Meeting point: main entrance to Piusstraße funeral hall (not the current temporary solution) There are also parking spaces on Piusstraße.
Duration: approx. 2 hours
For all bookings of day tours, a minimum of 24 hours' notice prior to your scheduled departure is required in order to receive a full refund. If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours notice, no refund is given.
