Rotterdam and The Hague Tour

Duration

8 Hours

About

Discover the best of the South of Holland on this tour where we will visit two cities of great international importance: Rotterdam, which will make you fall in love with its modernity and groundbreaking architecture, and The Hague, for its elegance and beauty.

Get to know the two most important cities in the province of South Holland with an expert Spanish-speaking guide. Once the group is together at 09:00am, we will go by private bus to the city of Rotterdam, a world renowned for its innovative architecture. The city had to be completely rebuilt after the bombing it suffered in the Second World War, so we will find a totally different city than Amsterdam, known for its innovative contemporary buildings as a mecca for architects from all over the

world.

Once in the urban center, we will visit “The Heartless Man” by Ossip Zadkine, an expressive and impressive sculpture, a symbol par excellence of the Rotterdam people's desire to excel. Very close to this statue, we will be welcomed at the VVV or Rotterdam Tourist Information Point, where we will enjoy an interesting interactive introduction to the city and its history

.

Then, we will start a walking tour, stopping at emblematic places such as the Church of San Lorenzo, the only medieval building in the city, the famous Cube Houses, the Oude Haven or Old Port and the iconic Markthal, the curious market known for being the first covered by single-family homes. There you will have free time to enjoy the spectacle of smells, flavors and colors, as you can see one of the largest graphic works in the world in its dome. After a pleasant walk, we will take a panoramic tour along the banks of the Meuse River where you will discover the profile of the city, where colossal skyscrapers and bridges such as Erasmus's, with its 802 meters long, or towers such as the Euromast, with its 185 meters high, stand out

.

Still surprised by Rotterdam, we will head to The Hague, undoubtedly the most elegant city in the Netherlands, where the Prime Minister and the Kings of the Netherlands reside. We will therefore visit the “Palais Noordeinde”, the King and Queen's work center, and the “Binnenhof”, a group of buildings, among which the Dutch Parliament stands out, known for being the oldest parliamentary complex in use in the world. Next to the Parliament and right in the center of The Hague, we find the prestigious Mauritshuis museum, the place where “Dr. Tulp's Anatomy Class” by Rembrandt or “The Girl with the Pearl” by Johannes Vermeer, among others, are exhibited

.

Large avenues, majestic buildings, palaces, embassies and large areas of green areas await you in this stately city that perfectly mixes the classic and distinguished with the modern and casual.

Before leaving the city for good, we will stop at the Peace Palace, home of the International Court of Justice, where, in addition to resolving disputes between nations, countless movies have been shot!
