Below you will find important information on our meeting time and place and some of the most asked questions:
How will I find the guide?
The tour meets on the front steps of Alexander Hamilton Customs House on the front steps. Our TopDogTour Guide will be at the meeting location above. They will be holding a white flag with a blue checkered border with our logo in the center.
Where does the tour end?
The tour ends at One World Trade next to the 9/11 Memorial.
Gratuity is not included, but it is always appreciated and never expected.
Parties of 8 or more are subject to a standard 15% percent gratuity based on booking total. This includes NY Pass guests
What if it rains/snows?
We operate tours in all weather conditions, be it rain, shine or snow. Umbrellas are always a recommended accessory. In severe weather conditions, such as; high seas or hurricanes, the National Park Service and Statue Cruises (Hornblower) will cancel access to the islands for safety purposes. We will contact you directly either by phone or email if that occurs.
What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable footwear and casual comfortable clothing. We recommend bringing outerwear that is weather appropriate for the season especially during colder weather.
Are there restrooms?
There are public restrooms available at Battery Park, on the Ferry, and on both Liberty Island
and Ellis Island. Your tour guide can help you locate them.
What if I’m running late or get separated from the group?
All of our tours start promptly on time. Due to the nature of the tour, if you are late, we will not be able to catch you up with the group once the tour has left the starting point. If you make the decision to not follow the guide or their instructions, we can not guarantee we can reunite you with your group. The office does not have the ability to contact tour guides for their specific location once the tour has started. ALL COMMUNICATION THE DAY OF THE TOUR MUST BE MADE BY PHONE AS EMAILS ARE NOT CHECKED FREQUENTLY.
What if I decide not to attend?
TopDogTours has a 2 calendar day cancellation policy for all of its tours. Cancellations will not be processed starting 2 calendar days prior to the tour. As a courtesy, if you are unable to attend the tour please give our office a call @ (718) 806-1706 to let us know not to expect you. ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE MADE BY PHONE.
What if I want or need to reschedule?
If you contact the office 2 calendar days prior to your scheduled tour you may reschedule without charge, based on tour availability. If you attempt to reschedule after 2 calendar days (within 48 hours) of your scheduled tour, you will be subject to a $20 per person service charge.
Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult over 21.

TopDogTours reserves the right to deviate from the route of the tour in the event of marches, parades, protests, and circumstances beyond our control. Guests who bring alcohol or drugs to our tours or appear to be intoxicated will be asked to leave the group and will not receive a refund. TopDogTours reserves the right to refuse service for any reason.
By booking this tour you are voluntarily participating in the aforementioned activity and are participating in the activity entirely at your own risk. Be aware of the risks associated with participating in this activity, which may include but are not limited to" physical or psychological injury, pain, suffering, illness, disfigurement, temporary or permanent disability (including paralysis), economic or emotional loss, and death. I understand that these injuries or outcomes may arise from my own or others negligence , conditions related to travel to and from the activity, or conditions at the activity location(s). Nonetheless, I assume all related risks, both known and unknown to me, of my participation in this activity. I further agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless TopDogTours, Inc. and any associates against any and all claims, suits, or actions of any kind whatsoever for liability, damages, compensation, or otherwise brought by me or anyone on my behalf, including attorney's fees and any related costs.
