It is 1813... And this is a Ghost Walk with a difference... you will not only hear dark tales of murder and hauntings but you will be immersed into the murky world of Georgian England and the World of Nelson. Join us for an evening as we take you into a dark underworld of smugglers, pirates and prostitutes. Every street in Spice Island was full of Ale Houses, 'Cat' Houses and Chapels, but amongst these narrows streets rival gangs would compete for the trade of the thousands of sailors disembarking every week. You will hear dark stories of history that lay hidden beneath the tourist streets of Portsmouth, stories of what happened to some of these sailors before they disappeared forever.
The ghost walk will last approximately 1-1.5 hours and involves interaction with actors and group participation - this tours offers a unique perspective to the city after dark.
Suitable for 12 years and up when accompanied by an adult.

Meet outside Square Tower
Thank you for booking onto our ghost walk of Portsmouth.
AT THE BEGINNING OF THE EVENT
On the night make your way to The Square Tower in Old Portsmouth and wait for your guide - who will then sign you in for your tour. There are plenty of street parking and Garrison Parade car park in the area. If you get lost do give us a call and we will try and navigate you to the Tower.
Your guide will take you around the old fortifications of Portsmouth. There are plenty of steps and uneven surfaces and lots of very strange characters we will try and avoid. If you get
We run a strict "no tolerance" policy on alcohol, drugs and threatening behaviour. Because of the nature of these walks, the low level lighting and the very special locations we attend if we even suspect you have been drinking or display threatening behaviour towards the actors you will be removed from the walk immediately with no refund.
We will be moving between shelter and the weather is liable to do ‘anything and everything’ so please wear sensible shoes and wrap up warm. There is a lot of ground to cover on this tour with several steps.
