Our excursion
Departure in the morning from the hotel by GT bus in the direction of Pompeii and, between the excavations, you will start traveling back in time walking through the most visited archaeological site in the world. The guided tour winds around the area of the Forum, the Baths, the Eumachia market, the Basilica, the Lupanare, the Teatro Grande, the villas, the domus and the shops of the rich Roman patricians and the skilled Pompeian merchants. Free time for lunch.
After lunch, continue to Mount Vesuvius up to 1000 meters where you can walk through the nature reserve reaching the top. From the top of the volcano you will enjoy an incomparable view of the entire Gulf of Naples!

The eruption of 79 A.D.
The famous eruption of Vesuvius on 24 August 79 AD caused the destruction of Pompeii and archaeological excavations bear witness to this, whose remains, buried after the eruption, have been preserved almost intact to the present day.
The excavations have brought to light a large amount of valuable finds. To date, the Pompeii excavations represent the third most visited state museum site in Italy, surpassed only by the Pantheon and the Colosseum with the Roman Forum.
