We’ll go on a canoe trip along the beautiful Ounasjoki river. We’ll paddle on the slowly flowing Ounasjoki admiring the fine riverside views and make observations about surrounding nature and animals. We might see some nesting sand martins on a river banks or sheeps herding on the islands.
Towards the end of the trip, a snack with refreshments will be served in the lean-to at Happy Fox forest farm.
At the Happy Fox we have only local guides with a real knowledge of the arctic nature, so the nature trip with us is a genuine experience.
Picking up paddling skills is easy, therefore this trip is also suitable for first-timers. Each canoe fits for 2 persons.

You may attend this tour wearing any outfit suitable for the outdoors. Please pay attention to the weather – a rain coat may come in handy.
We’ll also provide attendees with rainwear (poncho). Due to the wet terrain, please choose your shoes accordingly. Your outfit may also catch the smell of smoke during the tour.
