We visit the must-see villages in the Tremezzina area, passing the facades of elegant villas such as the Villa Carlotta, Villa Sola Cabiati and Villa Balbiano. You will discover lesser-known hamlets such as Griante and Rogaro, and more rural scenery - the spontaneous olive groves; green pastures and old stone washhouses where women would meet and scrub the day’s laundry together. You will be amazed how quickly the landscape changes from sumptuous lakefront properties to quaint farmsteads. There is so much to be found just off the main lake road and down cobbled paths impossible to reach by car. Weave in and out of the famous ‘Greenway’ path on the way to Lenno and follow the tracks of Mussolini, as your guide tells the stories and intrigues of his final days. Ride the ancient stone bikeway - not suitable for novice and less confident riders. Suggestive lake views follow us throughout the journey and you will end your tour with a sense of what it is like to live on Lake Como. This tour is perfect for first time visitors and regulars to the lake.
SUITABLE FOR: minimum height 150cm. Maximum height 194 cm. Minimum age 15 years. Suggested maximum age 60. Participants over 60 need to have recent biking experience. on mixed terrain. Not suitable for pregnant women or people with mobility impairments or injuries.
Category 2 difficulty: Not suitable for less confident or novice riders. This is a mini adventure with uphills, downhills, narrow and tight turns and a section of technical sone paths. 2km are on a busier state road. Distance: 28km
