Melaten ist nicht einfach ein Friedhof, Melaten ist Stadtgeschichte, Kunstgeschichte, Landschaftsschutzgebiet, Kulturraum und Oase mitten in der Stadt. Bevor Melaten vor über 200 Jahren Friedhof wurde, war es schon Richtstätte und Leprastation weit vor den Toren der Stadt. Heute ist der Friedhof letzte Ruhestätte für viele Kölner, ca. 55000 Gräber gibt es hier. Und da wir nun mal in Köln leben, ist das natürlich dann auch der Ort für viele Geschichten und Anekdoten. Begleiten Sie uns an diesen besonderen Ort Kölner Geschichte und Gegenwart.
